Some of my Favorites

Jack’s favorite colors are red and white. His favorite song was “Walk Across Texas”, by Ernest Tubb. And his favorite thing to do was to ride horses, go camping, and just enjoy the family.

In 1968, as he got older and knew that farming was physically labor intensive he decided to go to work for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Osage City. He would comment to others that he began “farming the roads”. During his adult years, Jack enjoyed running around with friends to his son’s activities in 4H and sports. Both boys were athletic and involved in all the school sports and even Legion Baseball during the summers. He later went to the grandchildren’s activities, and then the great grandchildren’s events. “Grandpa Jack” was always there to cheer them on.
